eMail Systems Architecture
- Architected
a solution for and directed deployment of IBM’s internet-facing eMail
servers servicing 98 branded domains in 8 global locations. The solution incorporated high
availability with protection from spam and virus.
- Architected
and designed a migration solution for the non-disruptive deployment of a
new messaging gateway technology in a large enterprise Lotus Notes domain
containing 360,000 active eMail users, and yielding cost savings of $13M
over 5 years.
Network Administration
- Designed
and managed IP networks for messaging, responsible for routing, wireless
networks, DNS and DHCP servers, Linux and AIX administration, VOIP adapter
configurations.
Application Development
- Designed
and developed Unix-based client/server communications system that
automates data collection and analysis over secured connections.
Technologies used included Perl, Java, SQL, and Brio.
- Designed
and developed an automated software distribution server to synchronize
software across multiple servers on user defined schedules. Utilized SSH
tunneling to cross firewalls.

the design of the highly parallel version of IBM's high-volume transaction
processing product (z/TPF),
